The creative requirement
Tell us the animal you have in mind, the action or interaction required, whether the scene is scripted or live, and how long you expect the animal to be needed.
Friendly, well-handled farm animals with experienced handlers for television, film, advertising, photography, branded content and location productions.
In July 2026, Emily's Mini Farm was invited to take two of our pygmy goats into the CBBC Blue Peter television studio for a special animal-themed episode.
Before filming, the goats spent time backstage getting used to the environment and meeting members of the production team. They quickly became a hit with everyone around the studio. Guest presenter Kyle Thomas, who has a huge social-media following, came backstage to meet them and familiarise himself with the goats before they went on set. Hacker the Dog also came out to meet them.
The episode was broadcast on 25 September 2026 and showed exactly why calm, well-managed animals and experienced handlers matter in a busy studio environment.

Every media booking is discussed in advance so that the animals, handlers, transport, holding arrangements and filming requirements are suitable for the production.
We can attend television studios, film locations, photographic shoots, advertising sets, promotional events and suitable indoor or outdoor venues.
Our animals travel with people who know them well. We remain on site to supervise handling, manage breaks and help the production team get the shots they need safely.
We can discuss access, timings, holding areas, flooring, noise, lighting, interaction, welfare considerations and practical requirements before the shoot.

We welcome enquiries from production companies, broadcasters, agencies, photographers, brands, PR teams and content creators looking for genuine farm animals for a project.
We are based in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire and are well placed for productions across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West. Travel further afield can be discussed for the right production.
The exact animals available depend on the brief, location, handling required, weather, travel and welfare considerations. We will suggest animals that are suitable rather than simply sending whatever has been requested.
Small, inquisitive and full of character. Our Blue Peter appearance demonstrated how well the right goats can adapt to a studio environment with proper handling and preparation.
Highly visual animals for appropriate outdoor locations, lifestyle shoots, promotional content, events and carefully planned filming.
Rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and other suitable small animals can work well for close-up, educational and controlled filming situations.
The more we know before the day, the better we can advise on what is realistic and suitable.
Tell us the animal you have in mind, the action or interaction required, whether the scene is scripted or live, and how long you expect the animal to be needed.
We need to understand access, surfaces, indoor or outdoor conditions, available holding space, expected noise, lighting and any unusual environmental factors.
Call time, likely filming window, expected waiting time and planned breaks all help us prepare the animals and manage the day responsibly.
Send us the filming date, location, production type, the animals you are considering and a short outline of what they would be asked to do. We can then advise on suitability, logistics and availability.
