Supporting Animal Care Students at Blackburn College
Now in our second academic year working with Blackburn College, we’re helping students gain practical experience with a range of animals.
From town-centre campus to Witton Park
Our first year supporting Blackburn College involved bringing a mobile farm to the college campus in Blackburn town centre. This academic year, we’re supplying animals at its dedicated animal care facility in Witton Park.
Learning to care for animals
Students on Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 animal care and management courses can practise safe handling and learn how to observe animals and check their general health. Seeing their confidence and understanding grow is a real pleasure.
Practical encounters for education
Thoughtfully managed encounters can help students connect what they learn in the classroom with hands-on experience. We’re proud to play a part in that learning and welcome enquiries from other education providers.
Bring the animals to your event
Planning a school visit, community celebration, staff event or something special? Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll discuss a suitable animal experience.
